In October 2008 our Chapter proudly hosted the annual Student Tour.  This event is specifically designed for students from local colleges, technical schools and universities that have Interior Design and Kitchen and Bath programs. The purpose is to allow students to learn more about the Kitchen & Bath Industry and offer unique, real life experiences and opportunities that they might not otherwise have on their own, or through normal school curriculum.  Our Student Tours have proven to be a great educational opportunity as well as fun for all.  An additional benefit for the student is the prospect to make valuable contacts that might lead to internships and possible future employment.

Invitations were sent to seniors from the University of Georgia, Gwinnett Technical School, Brenau University, SCAD, The Art Institute of Atlanta, and Bauder College, as well as 1 or 2 administrators or faculty from each school are invited to attend. 

A very special thanks to the 2008 Chair of the Student Tour Committee, Diane Coker of the Westye Group Southeast. She brought fresh ideas to the schedule that has received high praise from all those involved.    Additionally, our chapter is grateful for all the volunteers and members who contributed their time and opened their showrooms for this event.
